Default Sun Lotion

Hi
Its been a while since we have been on holiday and I was just wondering how much it costs for sun lotion if we bought it while we were away in Puerto Pollensa, as we are very restricted on weight and we would normally buy Hawaiian Tropic which we find difficult to find at home.
Thanks in advance

Schleckers (a couple of doors up from Restaurant Guru) are about the cheapest for this and they have a good selection and i am pretty sure they sell the brand you want .

The muller shop in Alcudia stock Hawaiian tropic. I got 200ml factor 30 for under 10 euros.

Hi 3bears,
I've always found any sun protection bought in Mallorca far better than anything bought in UK. It's probably a bit stronger than the stuff you can buy here.

Hi I have been a lifelong Nivea factor 30 fan mainly due to the high UVA protection and my sister would never use anything other than ambre solair factor 50 because she is very fair

However earlier this year we both took a flier and bought ultrasun 30 and 50 on the plane ..... What a revelation ..... Apply it once at the start of the day and again only if you get wet ..... No red shoulders despite high temps and even midday exposure, no faffing about constantly reapplying every few hours and each of us going home a nice golden colour ..... Even sis for whom that is rare

We are now both converts

Thumbs up

We changed from Riemann P20 to the Ultrasun range a few years ago when we found that the P20 stained our clothes.

Prior to discovering these "once a day" lotions my wife (redhead) wore more clothes to cover up than at home!! and I used to burn through laziness of reapplying.

Some of the Ultrasun range says its water resistant although you have to wash sometime despite being on holiday.

We certainly endorse Ultrasun although I have not seen it in PP you can certainly buy it in the UK Duty free.

Stay safe, remember the sun in PP can be vicious and spoil your Holiday or even land you in hospital.

Would agree with Schleckers, the cheap stuff is every bit as effective as the expensive, a lot of it is down to marketing. Keep yourself "oiled" at all times and you should be OK, mind you if you want to lie in the sun all day

Interesting comment PeRu. We take P20 with us on holiday and find it is really good but if there is an equivelant out there it could save baggage weight.

cheers,

jimbo
