Default Expensive Port

Dont know about any one else but we found the Port to be very expensive, particularly the supermarket shopping, i know the Euro is down, but it was last year, prices for many things were extortinate.
On advise of local friends we were advised to do our shopping in the large supermarket in Alcudia, Er`indoors reckons virtually all the prices were at least 25% plus less than the others, is it that we are being exploited going to the Port?

Yes Eroskis dearer than Mercadona ,but unfortunately Eroski have very little competition ,might notice a difference once Lidl open . If there was only Sainsbury's or Waitrose in a town in the UK you'd get the same problem.

having compared receipts from last year and this year (no i didnt keep them on purpose they just happened to be in the bag from last hols) I did not find that the basics had gone up by much - if at all - in Eroski or Hyper - not as bad has the increases we have had at home in your everyday supermarket shop.I find that a lot of Eroski own brand items are very good and very reasonable and you will pay a lot more for british branded makes.
