It is a replica of both the one in Alcudia and the one in Inca if you have seen either of those.

As soon as it opens The Cumberlands will be there like hot badgers on heat.
What an exciting prospect?

They have done a leaflet drop which says they opened at 9.15am and the first 1000 customers would receive free flowers. We will wait for the initial rush to die down, probably pop in tomorrow.

Went in just after one o'clock, not too manic. Lots of half price offers for opening. A bunch of roses handed to me at checkout. Apart from having stock in different places to the Alcudia store it is the same. A good addition .

As most of you know i don't do shopping, but Mr Sparky drove out to Llidl and he came back happy except for the fact that the meat counter will not be open for another 3 weeks.

Sparky, are they going to have a meat counter or pre-packed meats as in Alcudia ?

No fresh bread either so until they get their meat and bread I wont be doing my main shopping there or you have to go to another shop to complete your shopping. Cleaning products are good value and quality though.

Which is exactly what we found ourselves doing last week JMD. We found it soul less, limited produce and choice. We bought a few bits, then drove back over the road to Eroski to finish off! (It was dark and raining at the time!) It was like coming home! No competition in our opinion.

It seems crazy but they won't now be selling meat or bread until February 2012 .

That is a shame, but I have never been able to do full shop in any Lidl, so find myself going to another supermarket, usually Mercadona.

As of today the Pollensa Llidl is selling chilled meats and the long awaited bakery has opened.
