I thought that might be why they closed for the first half of the week. Did Mr Sparky try the bouncy castle lol.

Ha ha!!, no he didn't but he did have a go on the roulette wheel and won a free pack of ground coffee and it was a larger size than he usually buys :D:D;).

Lidl

Hi - does anyone know if the prices in the new store in Pollensa are the same as the one in INCA or are they charging more in the resort like the other supermarkets?

lollipop 02-05-2012 16:20

I think the prices are the same in whatever Lidl you shop in.

Lidl have a new pre packed fresh fish counter.

When we where there last week Lidl had tinned Quail on 'oferta especial', not the kind of thing you see on the special offer aisle in England :)

Made me smile :)

My wife is vegetarian so I did not buy any....:D

The Sunday opening signs have gone from the Pollenca Lidl and they were closed last Sunday.

When we were there last week it was absolutely deserted... Not sure what's like in high season though, but if it's not much better I can't see how it can survive. Plus they didn't have any of the items on our list - we gave up after ten minutes and went over the road to Eroski.

I'm guessing that tinned Quail wasn't on your list then?....

Hope it survives I would describe myself as a Lidle worshipper even more so than Victoria Beckham (Del Becks wife).

I think it gets well used. Remember the locals often shop at different times to visitors.
