Default furniture

Yes, both charity shops in PP are very good - and often have some very good stock too - clothes, shoes (!) bedding, books, curtains & furniture etc.
As I've gradually updated my place I have taken unwanted items there and they are always grateful for them. The staff in both shops are lovely too

Having said all that, I must also agree that it is a great shame that Los Pescadores is about to close and the site redeveloped as apartments.

The Allan Graham Children's charity shop has enlarged their premises into the bike shop next door and so have more room for furniture. They have had some nice pieces in this last week.

Hi Lollipop. Where is the Allan Graham Charity shop? Is it just a long the road near to the Salvation Army shop. My sense of direction is nil!

I think the "Man with the Van" Len? , who advertises in the TOTN deals in furniture.

Don't know what his prices are like but I understand that he can "locate" items to order.

Hi there,

Just reading this post and the reference to fly-tipping. We have a knackered old patio table we want to get rid of. Not good enough to sell, but we don't wan't to add to the problem of fly-tipping. Where can we take it to dump legally, or do you just park it beside the nearest green bin. Any clues?
