Trip report 7-21 Aug - Eroski
After much research on the Forum I felt the Eroski supermarket by the sea plane roundabout was the best for us as we could walk there and taxi back.
The prices were great, 70 cents for 5 litres of water, the Eroski basic cheese slices and ham at around €2 were just as good as there more expensive counterparts. My Husband and Father enjoyed a beer called Aurum which was under €1 and I found a great bottle of white wine for €1.35 I thought it was as nice as the Pinot I buy in Tesco. (or maybe everything tastes better on holiday) After doing your shopping you simply ask the girl at the checkout for a taxi and it is outside in 2 minutes and cost only €6 back to appt. You wouldn't get that service at Sainsburys. For the first time ever I came home with money. What a triumph!! :o |
You've posted some really interesting thoughts - thank you. That's the supermarket I would normally use, and I think the prices are generally pretty fair.
Glad you had a great holiday. Duncan |
Thank you Duncan, i couldn't have done most of it or saved the money without the forum. Thank you to all who helped me :0
