Default Stamps!

Will definitely be buying postcards to send home and I wondered how much the stamps are or even what to ask for?
Many thanks Mary

Hi Mary

If I remember correctly the price of a stamp is 60 cents and they can be bought from the Tabac shops of which there are a few dotted around the port.Dont worry about not knowing what to ask for, the shop assistants will know exactly what you mean !

Have a lovely holiday !!

A stamp for the uk is 62 cents. I would suggest that you put your postcards into envelopes, apparently they are more likely to be delivered and the cost is the same unless you go for extra large cards and then like the Uk the price of the stamp is more.

Many thanks to you both for your replies. The envelope idea is a very good one, I shall add them to my packing list, along with my address book. We are staying in Pollensa for two weeks so I shall try and get the cards done and dusted in the first week and hopefully they will arrive in the UK before I get back!

Do they have the equivalent of By Airmail stamps to put on too just to make sure? Im only asking this because unfortunately it works the other way from England to Mallorca if you dont! Debs sent us an anniversary card from England to the hotel we have been staying at, and unfortunatley two weeks later it still hadn't arrived Such a lovely thought, but she is now unsure if her hubby - bless him - forgot to put an airmail stamp on it too!
Probably doesn't matter so much when sending cards back though, just if you want to get mail posted by a particular time.

I just write AirMail in the top corner. Letters from the UK have a habit of going astray or taking for ever to arrive, then sometimes they come really quickly.

It depends on how fast the pigeon is!
