Default Spit roasted chicken

Hi all

Does anyone know where you can buy spit roasted chicken in the central/La gola area and do you have to get there early or are they being cooked all day?

Hi Whaley, there is a little shop (sorry can't remember the name) on C/Formentor just passed the travel agents they have chickens cooking all day ( not the same ones of course ), i have not tried them but they look ok.
Of course the Golden Lion in Gommar chickens are in my opinion the best but that is further away.

A few weeks ago I came across a sort of butchers selling them & other takeaways in a side street leading down from either Roger de Flor or V. Buades (get confused!) towards the square. There is a stationery/artist shop on the corner. Anyone know where I mean?

Pollensa, do you mean the road which has Hypercentro and Milar on opposite corners?. If so it is off
Vincent Buades and the shop is on the left going towards the square.

That must be it. I thought Xaloc was the road that Confort is on but it is probably a continuation. Anyway they had lots of spit-roasted chieckens in there!

Yes Confort is at the top, Xaloc runs from there, through V/ Buades and ends at Roger de Flor.

There is a new Panini bar on the front not far from your apartment that also sells ready cooked chickens to take away.

Whaley

We bought a chicken from here a couple of months ago. It was delicious. But there was a surprise for us when we got back to the apartment and unwrapped. It only had 1 leg!!. We have had a good laugh about our one legged chicken a number of times!!.

Adios

Dave

The small shop on the formentor road is called JORDI the spit roasted chicken is excellent cost 7 euro. We have just returned from our two weeks last weekend we had a chicken one lunchtime with crusty bread plus salad it was so tasty that 3 nights later we decided to get one in the evening yes they appear to have the chickens cooking all day but I got the last one at 7.20pm and there was acouple just came in behind me looking for one and were disappointed it seems in the evening they sell ou fast - the chickens from the golden lion are very good but are 9.50 euros which is very pricey !!!
