Default Beach Towels

Hi
I have just been reading the posts about the budget airlines obsession with the weight of luggage and as there is me, Mrs Mcrterry and our 8yr old daughter with only 2 cases I'm worried. I want to keep to essentials so think buying cheap beach towels then leaving them inthe resort is a better option so wondered what we could expect to pay fo 3 towels in PP.
Thanks in advance

Anything from 11€ in the shops, the cheapest I've seen (and they were good quality) were on PP market (Wednesday morning) 6€. This was back in June so may have increased in price now it's high season.

I can't really say how much they are to buy new but i am sure that you could get some in one of the charity shops for a reasonable price.

Were staying at the Sis Pins so hired the towels from reception. 10 euro deposit and 1 euro for a fresh towel - great!

Maybe some of the other hotels do this? I know my sister hired hers the year she stayed at the Playa Mar - maybe worth checking?

Just a note on beach towels...This is down to our own stupidity and trusting nature. One day while were away in June we had a full day on the Pine Walk beach just off Voramar. It was about 6.30 PM, so we waltzed off down to one of the bars for an early doors. Came back an hour later (still bright sunlight at that time of year) to find our beach towels gone + our 3 year old's bucket and spade and various beach toys gone too. As I say, this was entirely our fault but don't be lulled into a false sense of security by the general laid back atmosphere.

Mcrterry, i just had a thought, you might be able to get some free towels. Have a look around the bins, you will be surprised at the things people throw out .

Wacker - maybe it was the sunbed men "tidying up" at the end of the day? But I must say that friends were telling us that one day it started to rain so they all ran indoors leaving their towels on the sunbeds at the Sis Pins and stood there and watched as a lady helped herself to 3 or 4 of them

Default Beach Towels

A couple of years ago while at the Aquapark in Alcudia, my daughter left her towel on the stairs of the park which over look most of the pools. I was sitting a few stairs further up. A young child with his parents came along and the child picked up the towel and started drying himself with it, whilst the parents stood and watched him, he then started to walk away with the towel. I shouted at them and they put the towel back. You would need eyes in the back of your head to watch the blatant cheek of some people.

Wasn't in PP (or beach towel related) but mrs mcr once went into what she was told by mates was the communal last day freshen up curtesy room, chatted to a couple sat there excused herself and took a shower helping herself to the "free" shower gels, conditioner, aftersun etc, dried herself got changed and left to see all her mates rolling about.....no one really needs the punchline do they!! The couple never said a word.
