Default Charity Shops

Could anyone please tell me where the charity shops are please?

We have just bought a villa in Gommar and have lots to dispose of including some furniture. Most is in good condition but just not our taste.

They may not be interested in furniture but have lots of vases and pots etc which i'm sure would be useful to someone.

Thanks, Eleanor

If you have good quality items to dispose of don't forget there is an 'Items for sale' section on the forum. You could make a bit of money to.

Hi Eleanor, the Salvation Army shop will take your unwanted furniture in fact they will even send a van to collect it. The shop is in Calle Mendez Nunez across from Flora apartments.

Now i know this is NOT the thing to do, and if I had known where charity shops were I would OFCOURSE have taken things there but... When we bought all new sheets, pillowcases, cushions, we wrapped all the others up in plastic - there was nothing wrong with them, just wanted to renew - and left them by the side of the bin. Within 15 mins they had disappeared! Last week I decided that the bag I had used for a fortnight was really not going to survive for much longer, so as an experiment we left it wrapped up by the side of the bin, you guessed it... within 10 mins it had gone! You never see people looking out or wandering about, but its certainly not taken by aliens! LOL! But we will be using the charity shops in future as long as we can fine them!

We do exactly the same as you Bella, leave unwanted items by the side of the bin, go for a walk and when we come back they've gone!!!

Mind you you never know they could have been taken by aliens as we (wasn't just me after a few !!) did see a UFO once in PP

Mmm, ok debz, lets gloss over that one shall we?! If anyone can make use of things that are left by bins then I think it is a good way to recycle. Obviously if things are left there too long though they obviously should be put INSIDE!

Allan Graham charity shop near the square always seems grateful, and I understand they have no paid helpers

LOl @ sws!! Funnily enough it WAS hovering over the bay and I'm sure the little green men on board could see it very clearly with their naked eyes

To keep on thread it's good to know that the charity shops will come and collect larger items as we have loads of things, that are unwanted but in good condition in our lock up on roof .We've put them up there because we don't know what to do with them but they are too good just to dump, and too big to leave by the bins. I feel a clear out coming on
