Hiya we spotted the so called aldi 2 weeks ago and decided to have a look. I am pretty sure it is NOT an Aldi... certainly NOT AS WE KNOW IT ! I Checked on their Spanish website and was not listed... I then sent an email to the only email address appearing on their UK website.. which is in fact for media contact... explained that it looked like someone was trading on thier name and asked if they would foward it to the relevent department. Got email back saying to fone Aldi and gave a number... and I lost interest at that point.

Back to the Aldi in Alcudia... its on the strip, right hand side heading to C'an Pic.. and it is like every other 'supermaket' around.. full of tat, cheap booze (?) and not an Aldi label in sight.
I am assuming that Aldi would be like Lidl... which at Inca has the exact same format as the one in my home in the UK( cept it has the added fresh meat and deli counters.)

Have u tried the other supermaket in PP... (is it called Syp?) I prefer it for most things... Eroski is too much like hard work ! lol

Have not seen an "Aldi" here, i know there is a "Lidl" in Inca which i must go to one day as have been recommended for the butcher. The "Syp" in the port is a small "Eroski" but agree with Miriam that it is better than the big one for quite a lot of things but do check out the prices as not all "Eroski" stores have the same prices. Apparently it is up to the managers of each store to charge what they want.
Another good supermarket in the port is "Hyper Centro" in Vincent Buades, the quality of meat and fruit and veg is better than "Eroski".

Hi there,

Regarding the Lidl at Inca. Thought I would tell you what happened to us. We were returning with our shopping to the car when we were stopped by a couple asking directions to Alcudia. A third person approached and grabbed my bag. A car sped up and the couple plus the other person got in with the car speeding off at high speed with my bag AND passport!!!! Can happen anywhere, I know but do be careful. Was told similar things are happening at Alcampo too!

Default Lidl Inca directions

Because Lidl is situated on a one way street, its difficult to describe.

you would be better pasting the following coordinates into Goggle Maps

39.71138,2.910551 and then asking for directions from Port de Pollensa.

Here are the instructions from goggle via Pollensa

Start: Port de Pollença, Pollença, Balearic Isles, Balearic Islands, Spain

1. Head west on Av de Joan XXIII/MA-2200 toward Calle de Formentor/MA-2210
Continue to follow MA-2200
Go through 2 roundabouts 5.8 km
2. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit and stay on MA-2200
Go through 2 roundabouts 11.5 km
3. Take the ramp onto Autovía Palma-Sa Pobla 14.6 km
4. Take exit 25 toward Carretera de Inca a Alcudia/Ma-13A/Ronda de Migjorn 0.3 km
5. Turn right at Carretera de Inca a Alcudia/Ma-13A/Ronda de Migjorn
Continue to follow Ma-13A/Ronda de Migjorn 0.8 km
6. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Calle de Sencelles 0.3 km
7. At Plaça del Primer de Maig, take the 1st exit onto Calle Ferrers 0.2 km
8. Turn right at Carrer del Quartet 0.2 km
9. Turn right at Calle de Pagesos
Destination will be on the right 0.3 km

39.711380, 2.910551
Calle de Pagesos

Good luck

Default Hyper Centro in Vincent Buades

Just wanted to thank Sparky for recommending this supermarket. We stayed in Vincent Buades (just back last night) and I had made a note this recommendation before we left. The supermarket was excellent for quality of produce and very reasonable too - their fresh bread and pastries were fab.
