Default Good baker - in Pollensa town?

Where would you recommend in town, not the port?

.....for good bread and the local goodies - like empanadas, brazo de gitano and coca.

TIA

Harters

I have never tried it but I know Il Giardino have a bakery around the corner from the restaurant.

There is another bakery behind the church but I have never really liked it as anytime we have bought bread there it has been very hard!

Just nice to know you can buy the nice pastries from the bakery and you can eat them in the restaurant. They take them through for you and serve them up on a plate with serviettes etc, a very nice touch.

The best one is a small bakery opposite the confence square, or the Convento if you are asking spanish people for directions. Its a very small bakery on a corner run by 3 old Mallorca women and the food is the best. The Il Giardino one is OK but it cant compete with the Mallorcan experience.

Nick

Sounds just the sort of place I hope to find on hols. I don't know the town very well (apart from around the main plaza) - any chance of some more precise directions - or one of your map reference thingies.

I Googled on "Convento" and get the Museum, at Convento Santo Domingo, C/Guillem Ciere de Colonya.

Baker near there, then?
