Smile New visitors to PP - laundrettes & supermarkets

Our first visit to PP starts on Weds, can't wait. I have been reading your forum for months and am so excited about the place already.
Please help with 2 queries
1. Are there laundrettes in PP? Where?
2. If we go to Eroski to stock up supplies (we are self catering) can you get a taxi back to the apartment? Would I need to pre book it? We are staying near Villa Concha but don't fancy carrying heavy items back in the heat.

Thanks for any help you have all helped me so much already as I've planned our long awaited trip.

Welcome Tinpot, yes you will be able to get a taxi from Eroski to Villa Concha there is a pay-phone in the foyer. I have not seen a launderette in the port but then i have not been looking for one so there may be, however there are laundries who do it for you but i have no idea of the cost. Hope this helps, have a great holiday.

Welcome to the forum.

Re laundrettes, as far as I know there are no self-service laundrettes but there are at least two who do the equivalent of service washes i.e. you hand them a load of washing & get the bag returned to you washed, dried & even ironed if you like. Am afraid I cannot remember their names or locations.

Re getting groceries home, I am pretty sure that I've seen a notice in the Eroski out on the Pollensa road that say they will deliver your shopping for you. Does anyone have any details or has used this service? Or know if they all do it?

Hi Tinpot If you are staying near the Villa Concha there is a handy little shop minutes away.... walk down to the sea front, turn right and walk about 20 yards. They have their own bakery so it's great for warm crusty bread in the morning. They also make baguettes to order for lunch

I know there is a launderette in the road that Chivas is in but I don't know the name of the road!!! Help someone?

Enjoy your hols

Chivas is in Medico Lopis but I think that is a full scale laundry and drycleaning shop. There is a smaller place in Clle Vincent Buades (quite close to Hiper Viper) that does service washes as Pollensa says. Quite reasonable prices.

Hope you have a lovely holiday - the first of many!

I would recommend Sol Lavandaria. They are excellent and whilst they provide an ironing service you really don't need it as most things come back folded and crease free - I don't know how they do it!

During busier times it is best to call in a few days before you want the washing done and book a slot with them. We always use them the day we fly home and if you have the washing with them first thing in the morning they will have it waiting for you early in the afternoon.
