Default Salvation Army Shop

We are all doing our bit nowadays to recycle and be a bit greener. I always buy beach mats, inflatables for the pool and books in the salvation army shop. Last year, i got a lilo, big blow up ring thing, beach ball and two beach mats for four euro!! At the end of our hols i returned them, still looking brand new, i quite like the idea of the next batch of holiday makers enjoying my items again. Like wise, if anybody has the latest best seller and they finish it on holiday, recycle it in the shop, do your bit for charity and save weight for an extra bottle of something in your luggage. (i would love to see a copy of the new Lauren Weisberger book on the shelf for my next hols.)

Default Salvatex shop

Yes, the Salvation Army shop in PP is a great find. It's just down from the Multi-hire shop. As well as the shop selling second-hand clothes, linen, beach toys, bric-a-brac and household things, they also have a shop next door selling second hand furniture.
The staff there are really friendly and the prices are great. They are also happy to take in items that you no longer need - and that includes unused shampoo, shower soap, etc which they then donate to a refuge in Palma. There's little point taking odds & ends like that back on your flight, after all!
So, all in all, it's a great place to take unwanted items to donate for sale and also to pick up some great bargains!

Smile Salvatex Shop

I think that the Salvation Army shop is currently undergoing some re-organisation and is closed temporarily.
There is a new charity shop in the port in the old Engles and Volker Estate Agents shop. It's for the Alan Graham Charity for Kids. It does great work for abused kids on the island.

Cheers!

Frito.

Cool new charity shop

Hi,
I too recycle the books, beach equip etc. in our apartment & have in the past used Salvatex to do this. Where (roughly will do) is the old Engles & Volker office as I can't remember? Will need to check it out on our next visit.

Thanks anyone for your help
