Default Local specialities

Hi all - will be there on the 4th anfd can't wait !!!!. Anyone got ant tips for local food stuff to buy at the hypermarkets. We are staying self catering at Leo appartments (have 4 children) and therefore want to have our breakfasts and lunches around the appartment, so will be looking for cheeses, meats and all the extra bits and bobs. What are the best local wines to buy (red & white). Cheers Paul

Hello Paul,

If you want to know the best wines to buy, have a browse through the Wine section. I've tried to make it easier to choose a good bottle (or two!) whilst in PP.

Caprabo has an excellent selection - but I would avoid the very cheap wines, if I were you!

Look out for wines that have DO status - generally a good wine.

As for foods, the salad stuff has always been vey good in SYP (now Eroski Center) and even though the veg doesn't look as "pristine" as we get at home, the flavour is always much better.

SYP always had a wonderful meat counter, bread counter and lots of gooey cakes to choose from. The one we used was near the Pollensa roundabout, but there is a SYP in PP near to
the roundabout by the harbour.

Happy hunting!!
Jane
