Thanks a lot

Thanks for that Rob.
Just read Jane's wine tips and made suitable notes!

Previously I'd only used my Switch/Maestro card for getting cash at ATMs in PP, and credit cards at shops and restaurants, but it seems many merchants in Spain will accept Maestro for purchases.

www.maestrocard.com/wheretouse/

Not sure if I'll want to take my passport to the beach with me if I need to do a bit of shopping afterward, though.

On another note - has anyone successfully got cashback in PP supermarkets like you can in the UK?

[and do I get another star yet?]

I should think another star may appear on your next post but you're all doing so well I think we may need a 'revaluation' or you have no incentive after 100...

So if you'd like to have yoir photo or any image just masil it to me & we'll host it for you...:lol

Default Re: Caprabo - Chip & Pin

It was mentioned in a previous post about whether Chip & Pin was used in Mallorca. Today in Caprabo a French friend used a Credit Card and had to enter the Pin number so they have the machines and are geared up when a non Spanish card is used.

Maybe they should turn into gold stars once you reach 1,000 posts?

But if you reach 2,000, maybe you should ask someone to put you out of your misery.
