It is a very different gin and with a floral taste. I think it is only available from the vineyard. We love it.
If you like Bombay and the Can a Vidalet gin ( as we do ) try Gin Mare - it is really nice and cheaper - made in Barcelona I think

Thanks, think I tried it once and wasnīt overly impressed, but no harm in having a second opinion !.

Basically I drink what my wife enjoys.

If she is happy, then so am I ( or try and look like it ).

MaR,
I forgot to mention Nordes which I bought on Joan XXIII in 70 cl and again in 1Ltr in Palma Airport. I must confess gin invariably is accompanied by tonic water and ice for me but the young men in our family who make other concoctions give Nordes a thumbs up. I THINK the 70 cl bottle cost about 30 €. It has a distinctive opaque white bottle.

Citadel is a nice french gin and widely available. Look for a blue art deco style bottle.

All this talk of gin, a friend at work said he was off to the Bombay Sapphire factory just down the road from me apparently, I thought it was in India!!
You can go for a tour of the factory followed by an hours lesson on cocktail making, hopefully sampling the results, sounds a great trip out.
I prefer Xoriguer gin, 50/50 with cas lemon!

It never fails to surprise me how a relatively 'simple' question about an innocuous subject prompts such a varied source of such replies/input, but maybe that is the beauty/attraction of this forum. Perish the thought someone might ask a question about scotch/whisky/whiskey, or worse vodka, or any non alcoholic drink that might be a favourite (I'm getting a bit tired of Beck's Blue or such like if I'm driving)..

You must live near us then as the factory is just outside of Winchester

La Battucarda boasts 21 different gins. Might be the place to 'research' some of the recommendations above!

Top right hand shelf near the door

Have sampled one or two but as I am not a huge fan of tonic ( unless its in the fabulous strawberry gin in Tofols ) I stick to Larios as 7up/ sprite would murder a very expensive gin

Probably not the right thread but it's sunny and warm back home here in Blighty so we're on the patio and we've just had a gin (Tanqueray) and tonic with ice and now on our second (Siderit this time) trying to bluff ourselves that we are in Bony's or Sea.Bar.Is
