Second hand bicycle and sewing machine.

Hola everyone,

We bought an apartment in PP in September 2016 and after a reform we are now using the apartment as a holiday home for about 5 months of the year. We have sourced most of what we need by way of furniture. At this point we are looking to buy good second hand bicycle and sewing machine to buy around the PP area. If anyone has or knows of items for sale please let us know. Many thanks.

Try Multi Hire opposite the apartments Flora for the bicycle.

For a good quality second hand bike, but a little pricey, try Bruce at Pro-Cycle.

Or cheaper but still reasonable bikes, there is a bike shop on the roundabout just as you approach Alcudia.

Hi, many thanks for your helpful suggestions. We popped in to multi-hire and spoke to Ian. He has bikes currently for sale at 300-400 euros. He also said he sells off bikes at the end of the season in October for around 125 euros. May be of interest to others. We will follow up the other suggestions as soon as we can and report back.

If you are after a push bike (not a racing bike) then do check out the bikes for sale in Alcampo hypermarket near Palma. I got a very good bicycle there (already equipped with lights and a shopping basket) for 125 euros a couple of years ago.

It may also be worth your while, asking in the Allen Graham charity shop regarding a second hand sewing machine. If you speak to Joy, the lovely lady who runs the shop there, she may be able to keep an eye out for you for when a sewing machine comes in. They get all electrical items pat tested before they go on sale, so you can buy with confidence too.
