If you mean the dessert i would guess that one of the bakeries would sell it or possibly a supermarket.

I love 'pudding' & always choose it when it's an option on a Menu del Dia. It nearly always seems to be home-made so you get such a variety. Some seem to have marmalade in it. I remember having a lovely one at El Positio.

Any recipes anyone? Or WHY it is called 'Pudding'?

I did have a recipe once from our first visit when we had been invited to a magnificent traditional family home in the countryside near campanet.

A long story but we where invited by a friends Mallorcan husband who had moved to the UK to work who was back on Mallorca visiting his family at the same time as we where on holiday and we where invited for food and drink, hence the home made 'pudding' experience and a very welcoming traditional Mallorcan family.

I cant find the recipe in my recipe file (a box full of bits of paper...) but when I made it at home it is similar to traditional English Bread and butter pudding.

A sweet type of bread is needed, I used Croissants and lots of double cream and a small amount of milk instead of just milk and eggs.
Ensaimadas might be ideal as the bread but we dont have those in England.

Experiment with cinnamon and marmalade etc.

Serve with cream or creme fresh etc, delicious

One warning it goes straight to your hips if eaten regularly in large quantities

Forgot to mention vanilla extract in the cream/milk and egg mix.

Two 'puddings' in the oven right now for tonight.
