Answered my question that I was going to pose about any real damage then........just cosmetic?

Amazing 'photo's and must be a rare phenomenon as I always thought the Med was minimal tidal at the most?

Must have be a case of CP then?!

Yes Nick it just made a lot of mess with sand and seaweed everywhere, i think it was a great example of my old friend "Coastal Phenomena" (CP to those who read my weather reports ) and thankfully it is a rare occurance .

The pictures probably are a surprise to PP fans who can only visit during the summer. But to regular winter visitors they are not unusual if you happen to be there at the time of the storms. Looking across the bay as the wind scrapes the top off the water giving a low hazy effect, not to mention the beach re-locating to the other side of the main road with sand dunes the Sahara would be proud off, plus the karate chop of some of the very large trees which have stood for decades.

I should have said computer hard drives.

I found a video amongst my 37,084 photos and videos of holidays to Pollensa area over the last 10 years ( did not realise I had so many....)

I cant embed the video as I cant work out if it is allowed in the forum permissions.

Cala San Vincente rough seas | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

This was February 23rd 2009 at 15:33 in the afternoon.

It is a bit poor quality for me but shows the rough sea and if you listen you can hear the 'whoshing' of the air through the rocks like heavy breathing

I really like winter holidays as long as it does not rain too much.

It was so rough in November when we went and took pictures, that we actually saw some of the Guarda Civil get out of their car and take their own photos!! It must have been rough for the locals to be impressed!
