I would love to be able to compose and take such quality.

Can you let us know what camera you use, filters etc. I ask because when I try to take photos with the sun in it, it puts a vertical line in it :(

My camera is Nikon D80. I never use any filters. I am sorry I do not know why you have vertical lines. :(
I have not such a problem.
