Default Eloping in Puerto pollensa

My fiance and I have just booked a weeks holiday in puerto pollensa in May this year. We have visited before and love it! Our question is is it possible for us to elope there? Or would we only be able to have a blessing ceremony? It would just be us two and we dont mind if it is the town hall etc but a beach ceremony would be nice. Is this possible?
Thanks in advance!

Hi and welcome to the forum. I think it is very complicated to actually get married here, but do have a look at the thread below which has lots of info :-

Hi. Not sure about actually getting married, but we had a blessing in October 2010 (we've been married 14 years) it was just the 2 of us and our 3 children (4,8,10 at the time), so it was just about us really. We've been coming to PP for around 8 years. Had to do a lot of surfing to get info, but we contacted Rev Mel Smith in PP by e-mail and he was really helpful, he booked the Small chapel at the top of the steps in Pollensa town for us and his wife even came and took photos for us, they were excellent and the ceremony was really personal,(although we seemed to attract a small crowd of well wishers) with a blessing for all of us as a family at the end. We then went for a meal in Pollensa.Would recommend you get in touch with him as a starting point as Im sure he will be able to help in respect of beach ceremony etc etc. If fact If you like I will have a look for his e-mail address. let me know.

Hi

You wont be able to get married there without getting a marraiage certficate from home first (or being resident for quite a few years).

My wife and I went to a local registry office, and then had our church ceremony in PP with Mel Smith. He needed to see our Wedding Certificate before hand. But contact Mel, he is very helpfull.

Unfortunately Mel is no longer on the island as he had to return due to his wife being ill. The contact details will be the same for the locum or his replacement.
