Default Trip report

Arrived in the port on Sunday 24th March for short 4 day break checked in to the Mar Calma hotel really lovely hotel ultra modern , spotless , great breakfasts , professional staff , would recommend. The weather was lovely calm and sunny , warm what a delight from what we left in Glasgow long walk along the pine walk first stop I,lla d,or for a large G&T it was heaven sitting taking in the view of the bay instantly felt all my stresses slip away. Then lunch at little Italy with bottle of Macia Batle all delicious. The port was busier during the day than I have ever seen it at end of March possibly due to timing of Easter weekend. But at night where does everyone go twice we were the only 2 people in a restaurant at night.
Lovely meals at night Stay which was ok have experienced better. Mirth masala brilliant curry. Los Faroles lamb and steak both great. Fabulous long lunch at brisa Marina best meal of the holiday salmon excellent and pud of baked apple was fabulous , great inexpensive wine list and the restaurant looks great after recent refurb. Lovely lunch one day at cappucino.
Had a massage from pilar in the beauticians at vormar it was great slept on the beach afterwards for hours it was great to see the beach beds out so early.
All in all a fabulous 4 days with great weather oh and we spent quite a lot of time in cafe 1919 people watching great mint tea in cute little teapot and cafe Bon Bon.
Can't wait for May roll on !!!!!

Default Lovley Report

I am so jealous as I will not be out until September . We always go to Stay as I love the view and the overall ambience so what was it that did not appeal to you ?

Just thinking about that view from the Ill'a'dor (and the large drink of course) makes me wish I could sneak a long weekend right now.

Cheers

Scotslizzy

Sounds good elaine. One comment "Mirth Marsala"? Sounds like a funny meal!
