Default Living in PP for 3 months.

Hi Everyone, we will be arriving in Port de Pollensa on Nov 3rd and staying for a minimum of 3 months, really looking forward to it. Would be delighted to hear from anyone with tips for local bars, foodie places, markets etc. Also, if there are any swimming pools likely to be open in hotels. Look forward to hearing from you

Hello and welcome Goldengapper, most of the bars remain open all year, Bar Med and Can Balache are English owned so good for watching football. There is a market in the square on Wednesdays, in the old town the market is on Sundays and Alcudia have them on Tuesdays and Sundays. The hotels with pools will probably not be open but you can use the municipal pool in C/Vicenc Buades and finally do read this thread :- http://www.forum.puertopollensa.com/...12-2013-a.html

That's very useful, Sparky as we are over for 4 weeks in Jan. We will prob eat in during the week but will be nice to have a treat at the weekends!

You got to visit Neptuno, does the best paella I have ever had! And the atmosphere is nice too. The Pines cafe is nice too, for nice chilled afternoons..

Neptuno is also one of our favourites but it's closed for a well deserved Winter break - as is The Pines. Not sure when they will open in the Spring yet.

Other good eateries which are open are on Sparky's list

We ate in Manduka a few times on our last trip, also El Casinet, O Lume & Tots - all were very good!
