Yes these lads really are salt of the Earth, as indeed are most of the folks attending.
As has been said no one is refused with the nippers being made to feel llke Charlie Cooke or indeed Jinkie Johnstone when scoring.
A special mention from all the folks participating to Estaban who runs the bar at the leisure centre, because all this would not be possible without his help.
We first started going to footy when Graham & a few others turned up at the old pitch in Pollensa town many years ago, it has been the highlight of my sons holidays ever since.
I started posting details on here because towards the middle of Aug numbers were down , mainly because people did not know about it.This season has indeed been fully attended, with many players over 50 years of age being signed up by Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Getafe,FC Twente, Workington Reds to name but a few.
So until next season at the Pollensa fives its adiós from Stadio Estaban & long may it continue,

Default Football

Has the football finished now or does it continue throughout the year?

Finished now but the spirit lives on until July 2013 ,but we may be a few players down as both Celtic & Scunthorpe United have cast their beady eyes over several over 52s with a view to offering them multi million pound contracts for next season.

As they say on the Legendry Pollensa Forum' living the dream'

Hyssy (Graeme ) who organises the football is a legend . You don't get an OBE for nothing !!!!!!!
As much as PP needs him we need him home now to organise our Autumn /Winter events calender where much fun sports events and social occasions will be arranged /enjoyed by all . He is a gem !!! One in a million

I will second that, was a shame we all never got to say goodbye & thank you as never saw him for the last few days due to him resting a dodgy knee.
