Question Chef hire

Hi, I am visiting Pollensa again this year and would like to hire a chef to cook paella for a birthday party. Could anyone suggest someone I could contact please.

I will require 2x paella (1x meat/ 1 x seafood) to feed 12 people. The chef would need to bring all the equipment and ingredients.

I wil be staying in a villa between the old town and the port - the date I need the chef is 10 or 11 August 2012.

I would also be interested in hiring some local musicians for an hour or two. Could anyone suggest a band please?

I have read some threads on Take Away Paella and I will use that service if a chef is unavailable.
Many thanks to any who reply
Brian

Hi Bvwalton and welcome to the forum, if you Google " personal chef service Mallorca" it comes up with a few results, looks like it will be quite expensive though and the take-away option will be much cheaper for you .

Default Local musicians

Hi Brian
What sort of music do you want played at your do?
There are some excellent musicians in Puerto Pollensa and some of them are more than happy to play at private parties. Let me know and I will try to put you in contact with someone there.
Also, Billy of the Ivy Garden may be a suitable Chef for your paella party. He's is an amazing chef!

Citrus may be able to help with the chef, there's a guy called Steve who does that kind of thing, he used to work at Tribeca amongst others. Top man! I was speaking to him last summer and he'd just finished cooking for Wayne Bridges and friends (and before you ask, no John Terry was not invited

Many thanks for your replies. I am not in the same league (no pun intended) as Wayne Bridge and co. so I may need to look at the take-away options. I will follow up on your leads just to get an idea of cost etc.

Thanks again.
