As a follow up to the previous post i have been surfing the net to find out more about the building in the last picture, it's the disused carpet factory which is now a ruin and there has been a lot of debate locally about it.
Anyway i found this video, i know it's not in english but there are some great photos and film of Can Morato :- Antiga fÓbrica de catifes Can Moratˇ de Pollenša - Výdeo Dailymotion

P.S. Here is another one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZPXYqHRKaM

Thanks Sparky, this has certainly helped with finding out a bit more about it. It was opened in 1922 and closed in the 1960's. That's about as far as I have got tonight!

Its very interestiing to be able to see the inside of the building. But so sad that the owners have just let it crumble. Such a huge building would need an astronomical amount of money to set it up as somethiing productive again, and its just not going to happen is it. At least it is being documented now for history.

Very true Bella, it is sad because i would imagine it was a beautiful looking building originally, almost too beautiful to be a factory . I suppose it will eventually be demolished to make way for more apartments .

Re. Sparky's earlier post post. Train / Bus Fares - Price Hike.
Bus / Train Fares up - on average - between 39% and 58%.
Also, petrol and diesel prices increased for 6th time this year.
Petrol - 95 Octane E1.44/L (ú1-16/L)
Petrol - 98 Octane E1.55/L (ú1.25/L)
Diesel - E1.35/L (ú1.09/L)
So fuel still quite a bit cheaper than in the UK, especially Diesel.
See Sparky's 'link' to 'Mallorca Daily Photo Blog' for full story.
