Default The Continueing Tackyisation of the Port

Continuing the well established trend of making the Port look cheap and tacky we now have an aweful sign at the island on the road around the Bay. Presumably the same people who thought amusement arcades, sports bars, and Burgerking a good idea also had a hand in this one. Roll on the election!

The definition of tacky as stated in The Urban Dicitionary is -

In bad taste. This usage, as opposed to the physical description, originated in the rural South but has since been adopted for use nationwide and in urban settings.

Take the road around the bay from Alcudia to Puerto Pollenca. When you get to the island with the new byepass the sign is on the right as you turn off the island towards the Port.

I think Deanscroft is possibly referring to a poster type sign that is advertising the market and gastonomy available in the port. There are several of these around ,some on the bypass as you approach the Aeroplane roundabout and a nother a bit further up. I personally didn't think they were too bad and better than adverts for places away from the port. If it is not these then I don't know which he refers to.

If we're talk about rubbish signs, the one for The Plaza Restaurant in the square is just about the most boring, un-thought about, lacklustre, totally devoid of design in tthe Port.

Unless you know better?
