Quick trip report...

Got back Monday after 9 days in PP. Great time, weather not brilliant but no rain and mild, 3 very nice sunny days.

Visited the new Capuccino bar and it is fantastic. Very smart and comfy, lots of spacious areas to sit and relax without feeling on top of people.
Yes it is expensive but you get what you pay for in life. Had coffee's and a couple of cocktails in there. I'm no coffee connosieur (spelling?!) but it was lovely tasting, although small in size.
Service impeccable, at least 2 managers wandering about all the time so no need to wait. Think Marilyn must have picked an inopportune moment unless word has got round about their service?
Will certainly be a frequent customer there.

Visited the Golden Lion for their famous chicken! Not disappointed. Lovely well cooked crispy half of a chicken and salad garnish. It came with chips which were not brilliant I have to say but certainly edible.
Service was good and friendly. Waiter even brought out a seperate plate so my young son could have a bit of ours......well, he is only 2!!!! They also gave him a lolly at the end.
Premises looked very clean and smart, typically Mallorquin?
Will certainly visit again.

While on the subject of food, had Sunday lunch for the first time in PP and chose Nostalgia. Excellent choice. My only gripe would be the size of the dessert. Lovely home-made rhubarb and crumble but it was a childs size portion! Needs to be bigger I'm afraid.
However, will be back again. :)

As previously posted, disappointed with the square. Not yet finished so will really have to wait and see.

Cheers.

Thanks Nick, glad you like Cappuccino too. You may well be right about the service issue, we found it good too, so I think a "word" may well have been given!;)

Sometimes that is all it takes - a word in the right direction. Lets hope the teething problems are now sorted.
Sounds a great place and I look forward to visiting hopefully very soon.
