Default Crime in Pollenca

I see that an old lady has been attacked in her home in Pollenca.

With the high unemployment rate there is the possibilty of increased burglaries.

We had one last year in our comunidad.

Can anyone update me on the reported attack.

There is a full report in to-days Daily Bulletin. It would appear that the 2 "burglars" responsible have been arrested by the Guardia Civil and are now locked up.

Aparently the culprits had made the lady sign 2 blank cheques and were caught trying to cash them in a local bank. One was Spanish and the other Peruvian, both were in their 30's and were wanted in connection with two other violent robberies.

Even more shocking is that the Bulletin are reporting that this took place in "Calle Voramar". Unless I'm mistaken, the only "Vora Mar" I am aware of in either the Port or the old town is the pine walk.

James,
There was a picture with the article and it was definitely not the Pine Walk.

The trouble with the DB is it is prone to getting things wrong, so they may have either reported the wrong street name or the wrong photo . Here among the expats the paper is often referred to as the Daily B******t .
