Default PP in Late October

Hi guys, not been on in a while as we didnt come over to PP this summer, travelling for month in Asia instead.

However we are thinking of a week from the 17th to 25th of October. Never been to PP this late in the year, we have a nice place to say in Llenaire, but not sure what the weather is like at that time and what is open/ closed ? Can anyone advise?

It would be nice if Casa Isabel was still open, I love the place!

(Admins, feel free to relocate this post is there is a better home for it?)

Everything should still be open as season doesn't finish until late October/beginning November. The weather is also pretty good, often beach weather, and OH has been in the sea too! We love October, and hope to get over late that month or early November ourselves.

Totally agree with Bella! - We love that time of year because it becomes sleepy but weather is still good. You will have a great time! All being well we hope to be in PP early November too!

We did late October a few years ago. You’ve all probably seen the Thomson Holiday ‘Welcome to my World TV advert’ where the holiday is assembled. It was like that in reverse. We arrived to a hot sunny bustling PP. It could easily have been August. As the holiday progressed there were noticeably less and less people about day by day, The skies got cloudier and cardies and jumpers got pulled out of the case. Restaurants moved tables and chairs inside and secured the premises as did some hotels. On the very last day, the men arrived to take away the loungers and parasols from the beaches. We had a late flight back and we have photos taken that afternoon with the beaches cleared and us seemingly the only people left in the place waiting for our taxi. It was quite a sombre mood as we left. Noisette still says “well they obviously fold it all up and pack it away for the winter! “ But still a great holiday and ideal for some walking.

We have been end oct / early nov for past 3 years and again a few years before that and are coming out end oct this year as well

We have had mainly good weather and sometimes great .................. on 2 years we had weeks that were comparable to late May but with the warmer sea you would expect at the end of the season ..................... one thing to remember though is the nights draw in much earlier than in spring

Its a lovelly time of year though .................. enjoy

I cannot think of anything better than seeing the port closed down for the winter season - purely because I think that is when she is at her best - resting, peaceful and beautiful. She's like an British seaside resort out of season -characterful, moody, bracing - different.

Love it!

CD is so right about the nights drawing in quickly in November. It can suddenly become quite damp late afternoon and light jackets/cardies will be needed.
Wonderful time to visit and although many places do close in the Port there is still much to do. Also of course Pollensa Old Town is 'alive' as so many live there.
The market on Wednesday morning in the Port is much more welcoming too.
All in all - it's great!

Smile Yes October is lovely

We are coming on the 17th October for a week as we have done for the previous 2 years.
We also come in Mid June for two weeks which is much busier but we love October when everyone is more relaxed and the weather is still warm but chillier in the evening.
See you all then

Totally agree with all the above. While it is great when the port is busy i love it when the hoards have gone and the place becomes more quiet. Yes a lot of the bars and restaurants close but there are still plenty of places that remain open.
