What was the highlight of your holiday?
One of the questions I always ask people when they return from their hols is "What was the highlight of your holiday". I thought this would be a good title for a new thread as everyone normally has one particular memory that stands out.

what was the highlight of your holiday
My highlight was getting to the top of the Calvari steps in Pollensa - I was too overweight to ever attempt it before but since March 2009 I've lost over 7 stones. I've wanted to see the view from the top for years - it was fab and I felt so proud of myself. Next time I intend to walk up Puig Santa Maria or over to Cala San Vicente or the full length of the promenade from Illa d'or to Llenaire or maybe all three!!

The highlight of my 2 week holiday in PP this year was my 2 week holiday in PP!!
We went in July this year and it was the best holiday we've ever had.
After a few negative comments on the forum about various things I was a bit apprehensive about this year's holiday. But it was fantastic. We've been going to PP for about 7 or 8 years, we've always loved it, or we wouldn't keep returning, but this year was the best yet. The atmosphere, the weather, (boy was it hot!), the food, the beach, the friendliness of fellow holiday-makers and restaurant staff. All fantastic.
We loved it so much that we are going back in September, something we've never done before. Two holidays in PP in one year.
If I had to choose just one highlight it would be Los Pescadores. We ate there 4 times in 2 weeks! What a great place to sit and have a meal. On the balcony overlooking the beach. If you've read my restaurant review you'll be thoroughly bored of my constant praise for this place. But it was definitely the highlight of the holiday. It will be the first place we head for on our first day in September. I could be shooting myself in the foot here. Maybe after all my recommendations, I won't be able to get a table there.

Highlights? Several.
Firstly, being back in PP for the first time in a few years.
Secondly, finding that the purveyors of doom and gloom on this forum were wrong.
Thirdly, my wife and I having an excellent meal in Los Zarzales.
Finally, and probably the highlight, since it was so different, was floating round in a kayak off the Pine Walk one morning, just watching people strolling along; having their breakfast; fishing; etc.
Just a question of when we can get back.

I was there for 3 weeks in June. Highlight? Not to bother heading for the airport at the end of the 3 weeks, and deciding to stay another week!

As a little girl I remember loving walking along the beachfront wall.
So my highlight has be be seeing my 18 month old enjoying doing the same thing and also loving doing it.

Ditto that Star.. My 5 boys love it just as much as i did as a child, and i'm certain the tradition will continue. That in itself tells the story of PP and its wonder

I think the highlight this year was getting through our holiday without my husband having some sort of medical 'emergency' or getting the dreaded phone call from the respite home saying my mum had been rushed into hospital (yet again!)(this has happened on the last 4 holidays!)

For me, the highlight of the holiday this year was seeing my 9 year old son scuba diving under our boat during a "Bubblemaker" trial scuba diving session with Scuba Mallorca. They took us to a beautiful little cove 10 mins from PP, the sun was shining, the sea was clear and beautiful and I was totally relaxed. And my son had a blast. Perfect.

My highlight as with others was just being back, the weight of everyday life lifted as we came round the bay and there was PP awaiting, the staff at the hotel remembered our daughter which delighted her.Walking along the front down to the marina admiring the yatches then stopping at the Marina Cafe for a fresh orange, I could go on with a whole list, we just love the place, roll on next year, my 15 year old is planning it already.
