Exclamation Crown Currency

I have previously recommended Crown Currency in the past, however, I heard on the local news his morning that this firm now has financial problems.
So please ignore my previous recommendation.

I heard that too - a shame.

We feature Currencies Direct whom I've used in the past.

Not sure why anyone would want to give thousands of pounds months up front (in some cases) and use a financial institution unregulated by the FSA. You are effecively gambling with your money, hoping it will go up in price, and perhaps save a few pounds. It business model effectively gambles on exchange rates and looks like it had a busted flush!

Adios

Dave

A neighbour mentioned Crown to me a few weeks ago and tbh I didn't like the sound of it.

So not surprised at the news.

Fortunately not....although a friend of mine has.Thankfully, it was for a relatively small sum.
I was very wary of them myself at first, but our friends used them with no problem, plus they gave an excellent exchange rate, after a while it makes you have confidence in a company.
I know some people have lost thousands and it must be quite heartbreaking for them.

Default Travel money services/Crown Currency

I've used them numerous times and got favourable rates, always a bit better than anywhere else. I always bought relatively small amounts 'just in case' and recently got delivery at a rate of 1.21 to the pound. However, when I saw them offering 1.25 to the pound last week I became a bit suspicious and decided to leave any future purchases for a while.........quite a lucky choice!
