Were there no reported celebs in 2011

This thread seems to jump from 18 July 2010 to 1 July 2012!?

Ha ha! That's wicked!
Last year when we were having a meal down Pine Walk, my stepdad saw Roger Daltry and even got him to join in on a prank! It was hilarious!

Graeme Le Saux and family used to stay at hotel formentor every year (maybe still do) and regularly eat in PP in the evening. Saw them in consecutive years. Hardly a "celeb" but a decent footballer in his day. He was on question of sport around the same time and he mentioned his love of Mallorca on the show.

Smile Celebs.

I think that Graeme now owns property near Puerto Pollensa.

Cheers!

I think he does, we saw Graham for several years running in Pollensa in the square and at the La Patrona as well, also saw Gary Mabbutt with him one year, two great old school players.

Not exactly a celeb in Puerto Pollensa but Richard Hammond from Top Gear was sitting in front of us on the flight out two weeks ago. I wonder has he got a place on the island?

Now that's a proper superstar! I'm afraid ex-premiership footballers, dancers, 2nd rate actors from soaps do not qualify as superstars, a vaguely familar face would be a better category. A couple of winters ago i saw Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones with his latest young friend sitting in a cafe down in Alcudia, once again a proper superstar, legends in their field of entertainment. Superstars, i'm afraid, is a seriously abused term.

Although i never ever saw him George Harrison, many years ago, had a place over in Formentor and used to drive his Rolls down to PP, until it got popular then he moved when the tourists started to arrive. He was not a superstar! He was a GOD!! One of 4.

Smiddy, agree with what you say but "superstar" and "Celebrity" are two completely different things to me. Don't think anyone referred to any of the people mentioned thus far as a superstar. You are right though, in the truest sense, they are few and far between.

My wife, having seen his 'photo in today's Daily Express, is convinced she saw the racing cyclist Bradley Wiggins in the Cappuccino bar in PP in both April and June this year.

He was with his wife and 2 young boys, maybe had his parents or in-laws with him?

Was she seeing things or can I tell her that her imagination is not running wild?!

Who are these people? All these names and i'm afraid few mean anything to me.
How do we measure who is a celeb? I suppose to some a 'one hit wonder' could be classed as a celeb as could someone good at cooking cakes! I don't suppose it really matters as long as 'celebs' continue to visit and it's fun to look for them anyway!

Was there an answer to the 'Blind Date' yacht question by the way? Think Cilla was ruled out wasn't she?

Don't think it matters really as long as people have fun spotting 'celebs', whatever the reason their faces are familiar. Its just 'people watching' & a great pastime on a lovely evening in PP whilst having a tipple or two!
