Default Hush a bye baby !!!!

Interesting to see that Pollenca council are due to pass new municipal law next Thursday reducing the level of music noise in the streets . Apparently a few bars are being targeted in the Port where noise complaints from residents have become very prevalent. It is believed that the powers will include the right of the council to set closing times for bars and disco's . Will probably also mean that outdoor music might become more restrictive.

Look's like it's gonna be sotto voce for me in Nostalgia from now on !!!

We have some friends who live above the nightclub virtually opposite O'Lume. They have been trying for about a year to get something done, as the soundproofing which should have been installed was pretty inferior quality! They have no problem with it being a nightclub per se, but timings and noise levels have been "slipping" shall we say. I'm sure they will be among the many who welcome this move.
As for your "singing" in Nostalgia BL, well, we have all asked for that to stop no matter what time of day!

Is there a nightclub opposite O Lume?

The only place I can think of that should have a noise restriction is Pub Imperial I would imagine anyone staying in an apartment close to there would have reaason to complain

I'm usually back in the apt around mid-night, so personaly not a night hawk who goes to clubs, but we want PP to appeal to all ages, as long as the new laws aren't too dragonian, it is a holiday resort afterall! Let people enjoy themselves, and hopefully the police can have a word with the odd moron.

We have a "noisy" bar across the street, it's soundproofing ain't bad, but the main problem is when people leave in the early hours, car doors slamming, loud conversations, never understood why they can't chat toe to toe, they insist in shouting across the street

BL - I'll join you on that song - and that song only, I love it!

Debz - yes, but it is a private club which is on the first floor.

And in the streets the children screamed,
The lovers sighed, and the poets dreamed,
But not a word was spoken, the church bells were all broken.

And the three men I admire the most,
The Father, Son and the Holy Ghost,
They took the last train for the coast,
On the day the music died..............

Rapidly followed by many tourists I fear.

Of course you may sws.

It's about noise levels in PP at night and the council passing a new law to curb it.A few of us were having some lighthearted banter and BL quoted some lyrics from American Pie as a little joke in reference to my family and I who were very NOISY one night when coming home late .... we were singing that particular song!

OK?
