Default Pinaret walking distance?

We've booked an apartment in Pinaret for October - just wondered if it is within a comfortable walking distance to the centre of PP and Pine walk etc or will we need to use the car.

Thanks!

Hola Rosie

Pinaret is situated between Tolos and Tamarels on the sea front (South Sandy Beach area) and stretches up to the new ring road, so its not far at all. I'd say 5 to 10 mins stroll to get to the centre depending how far into Pinaret you are.

This is the map showing Villa Concha which is in Pinaret.

Have a nice time.

Hiya Rosie, As peeps said above it is about a 10 min stroll, but it is a lovely one, right along the beach. Great area too, not noisy and not to far from the centre.
I'm sure youll have a great time!

Hi Rosie I agree with all the above and it was the the main reason we bought our apartment in Pinaret. Location Location Location!! It's a lovely peaceful area, two minutes to the beach and only a very short stroll to the hustle and bustle of the centre.

Best of both worlds....have fun!

Rosie - I have to agree with Debz. We owned an apartment in Pinaret prior to buying our villa in Gotmar both of which are lovely areas.

Pinaret is a nice quiet area but very close to the beautiful beach and restaurants. A ten minute or so walk takes you to the centre. I'm sure you will be very pleased with you choice. Have a great time.

Hello Rosie,
I agree with all the others, before we moved here we holidayed for 26 years in the Gotmar (Gommar) area.
There is only one downside that i know of and that is because there are a lot of trees there are more mosquitos around but with plug-ins, sprays and repellents you will be ok.

Rosie - I don't think you need to worry too much about mossies!
Where you have sun and sea you will get mossies in the summer months. Gosh we get them here by the sea!
Certainly they have never been much of a problem for us and as Sparky says, be as prepared with your sprays etc as you would be anywhere else.
Also heard marmite was good lol - to eat of course and not use as a cream!
Apparently the mossies don't like the smell!!
Enjoy your holiday.

Oh you lucky thing Eleanor, i have tried everything from garlic to marmite and i still get bit, have made many a trip to the farmacia. For some reason since we moved here the bites don't get that bad, but a couple of weeks ago we went to Gotmar for a bbq with friends and even though i had used "jungle formula repellent" i came home with 4 bites .

Oh it must be your rich blood Sparky. As I said before we haven't had anymore problems here or anywhere else on our numerous visits to various places on the island.

Perhaps you are just unlucky and the mossies like you.

Just googled mossie bites and found a suggestion that teatree oil is good for keeping them away. Also suggested no perfume or smelly deodorants etc. should be worn. Apparently also hairspray should never be used unless it is your wish to be eaten alive!
