Weather in may

Hi,
I generally come in September and the weather is always beautiful.
I'm thinking of coming on May 11th for a week - but I'm worried will I be disappointed with the weather? I enjoy sitting out from 9am till the sun goes down?
Thanks

Hola Bannergal, it can be a changeable month but for many years i came here in May and had more good ones than bad ones. Last summer was very hot and dry, we hadn't seen rain since April and i think it dumped 4 months worth in September.
As i have said many times before, you can't guarantee the weather anywhere these days, hopefully it will be good for your visit.;)

Agree with Sparky for many years we came mid September an dthen once school holidays became an issue started to come end of May ......my recollections are that the weather was on average better in May than September but the pool and sea were colder ...... though still perfectly ok once you were in

Have been in April for the last 3 years and had pretty good weather but not perhaps "sitting out all day" weather on a consistent basis

Truth is I like it when its not "scorrchio" everyday .... it gives me the incentive to explore new places

Bannergal,

Usually pretty good ( but swimming pools a bit parky , early in the year). Last year ( 2009) we had record temperatures of 37 c in Palma one day !!!!

We travelled to PP on 11th May last year and had only half a day on the beach out of 5, it was drizzley/overcast/tipping down and windy the rest of the time. We had been at May half term in 2006 and 2007 and it was fantastic weather - I suppose you never know but after a wet September week as well last year we are going in June :)
