Default what happened to?

Down with all this doom'n'gloom!

Whatever happened to some fabulously positive posters.

ChrisLox. His photos and general posts were magnificent. The way he painted PP in the winter was fabulous. One post I vividly remember was when he was telling us how winter was his most favourite time of year when the Torrent San Jordi was flowing fully and freely. Where is he now?

Robjay. Again another wonderful poster who seemed to know every inch of PP along with every restaurant owner/bar tender. His description of restaurants, pubs and general life in the town we love so well were a joy and badly missed. Where is he now?

Any more for any more?

not sure about Chris ..... do I remember him actually relocating to PP or have I just imagined that ?

Rob certainly still visits PP and has posted on a few occasions in the last year or so .......... we'd alllove to hear from you more though Rob so if you ( or anyone you know ) sees this ..... how about coming in to say hello and starting off one of those great winter threads you used to dream up that kept us all dreaming of PP until the next visit

ChrisLox went back to to the UK about 18 months ago, so presumably no longer logs on.

i seem to recall that Robjay got a bit of a hard time off a few members regarding a post, which basically got out of hand. After that he disappeared which in my opinion was the forums loss.He has posted a couple of times over the last few months but nothing like he used to.If you still check out the forum from time to time Rob please come back into the fold.To coin a phrase "We are a friendly bunch in here"

Default positive post

Barcelo are investing millions on the total refurb and extension of the Hotel formentor, new bars and restaurants are opening in PP and Pollenca (St Malo in the old town stands out) a new bar¡bistro has just replaced an estate agent in Pollenca Nostalgia in PP has opened, Tango is due back to its new site, El casinet is due to open, bigger and better and a lot of the new places appear to be trying something different. I know Font de Gall and Es Templar are closing , but the area now has Ocho restaurant and the fiestas continue to be buzzing as always. I think the area has changed but it's not just bad changes. Fantastic place to live in or holiday in. Thats my positive post!

great positive post Ray ........... would also add that El Brio is a great addition to the old town

also think Tango in new location is a positive change ....... when did you hear they were on their way back to the old location ........ that's not the vibe I was picking up when chatting in the "new" Tango a few weeks ago

I agree that Tango's new location is much better. We have often seen Manolo and his wife having lunch in El Posito on their day off and they told us they are not going to move back into the port.

Font de Gall and Es Templar are both up for sale ,the former is closed for the winter but has the for sale signs up. As for Tango, wait and see, it is an unusual mallorcan who doesnt keep his¡her cards close to the chest!!
