Life in PP out of season
Nick & Paula,
You raise an interesting point . Cos when I write these reviews off season , I am conscious that a lot of you are hardworking back in the UK ( and in inclement weather ) and it must seem like a totally frivolous lifestyle here that we enjoy. Really try not to rub it in but what is so great about being here for so long is not the restaurants, the bars , the socialising but the sheer fact you can enjoy living outside, in the open air, much longer than you can in the UK. For example today it was so hot we had to move into the shade out of the sun whilst having coffee. Simple thing like having coffee and probably cheaper than the UK in Starbucks or Cafe Nero but a million times nicer.
Be interested to read other points of view but would hate to think there is an element of gloating in any of my posts. Just think on balance it might make a few people at home happier thinking about being here .
What do you think, guys ???
I can be told to shut up !!!!!
BonysLad
You might be having the last laugh though cos the last time we had such a great start to November the Great Storm came two weeks later and demolished the Pine Walk and half the town !!!! Think it was 2001

BonysLad - please don't shut up! I'm sure i'm not alone in enjoying your posts and yes it does make me feel I should get on a plane to join you - it makes me feel close to PP to read such lovely posts so I for one do not feel you are gloating. I had hoped that we too would be spending much more time there but the Gods had other ideas!
Ahh yes - I remember that great storm - we were actually in PP at the time. We had an apartment which gained a very large tree through it's roof - rather scary!!
Enjoy BL and please do keep gloating......
Eleanor

BL, if you didnt post, then what would be the point in logging on?! We all want to know what the place is like during all seasons anyway. Its a bit like reading a soap opera on PP! Carry on blogging, its a shame that we will miss seeing you at the end of the month.

BL, your posts are much enjoyed by the Sparky's and not just now that we are residents here, we have always looked forward to reading them. Like you we have worked hard to be able to retire early and enjoy life here, but of course we still pay tax on our pensions in the UK. So we are still helping to keep Britain going.
I say, ignore the green eyed monsters and carry on entertaining us.

Not a hope in hell, only way you shut up is when your shut up for good.
You must be so looking forward to getting back in the UK yesterday was 8 deg so no coffee outside. Your team got beat 5-0 last Saturday bet you wait to watch them. VAT goes back to 17.5% on 1st Jan.
So the only thing you can look forward to is meeting me again in the UK.
So where's best PP or Ricky ???

Do carry on posting - especially out of season - as it keeps the forum going.

I love your posts, out of season or not - and actually out of season they are particularly helpful in terms of letting us know what is open as we are planning to spend more time in PP over the winter/spring... Thinking of you soaking up the
warm(ish) sun as I put coats and boots on here to do the school run...

Bl and Sparky , couldn't agree more. We too are enjoying a much relaxed lifestyle doing the things we had no time for in the UK,and yes supporting both countries with taxes. BL I don't think you rubbed anyone's nose in it, keep smiling, by the way your cards will be in Sam's.
