Default England v Ukraine football

Hi,
Will be in PP from this tuesday for one week and hubbie wants to know if there are any bars showing the football game on Saturday. He's a bit worried because it will not be shown on Sky TV. Can anybody give me some good news so that he will not hyperventilate due to missing a game!!
Thanks

We've not been to PP since 2001, where is JK's. We are staying in an apartment close to the Pollensa Park hotel.

Hi Gertie, if you are that end, Bon Dia is probably you best bet, its in the road leading down from the Pollensa Park to the sea. JK's is in the port one street back from the pine walk, I think both advertise on the site, hope this helps

Hi Edward, just checked the BBc, you are right, on-line only, limited to 1 million viewers, £4.99, I think I will wait for the highlights, good luck trying to watch it.

From BBC

England's World Cup qualifier away in Ukraine on Saturday will be shown exclusively live to subscribers on the internet who will pay at least £4.99.

It will be the first time UK viewers cannot watch England live on TV.

Kentaro - an international agency appointed by the Ukrainian Football Federation - originally sold the UK rights for the game to Setanta.

But after the pay-TV firm collapsed, digital sport specialist Perform was appointed to stream the match online.

England have already qualified for the 2010 World Cup, winning all eight of their group matches.

It is understood none of the traditional broadcasters were willing to pay the asking price to screen the game, which kicks off at 1715 BST.

But the news has angered supporters who want to watch the action on television.

FA do not control away rights - Bevington
The match will be available on a dedicated website and viewers will be able to subscribe to it using PayPal, the electronic payment service.

Peter Silverstone, managing director of Kentaro, told BBC Sport: "You will watch as you would any other streaming on the internet, like YouTube or the BBC iPlayer - there will be a pop-up player that will show the match in a very good quality stream."

But will this be confined to the UK based internet users only ?, can't pick up BBC video clips of the footy highlights here cos for some licensing rights with the Premier League/Coca Cola League they are restricted to UK based internet users only.

Does it say ??

Just got this from Sky, to be honest it all might change again, looks like England only, are there still Odeon cinemas?

Swiss-based company Kentaro now owns the rights to the match, which was originally due to be shown on Setanta.

The game will be available at a cost on the web in Britain and Odeon cinemas will also take a live feed. Pubs and restaurants are not allowed to show it.

You can watch it through newspaper web-pages, here is the link to the Suns page, unfortunately Spain is one of the country blocked from streaming it

you can watch almost any european game you fancy on streaming websites, even premier league 3pm kick offs

try downloading the sopcast player, & looking at p2p.eu for a timetable - a bit hit & miss, but you can usually find a decent quality pic & english commentary when you get the hang of it

oh, & it's free
