Default Abandoned dog

Is there anywhere on the forum where I can advertise the fact that a lovely dog has adopted our family at our holiday home here? We'd like to find her owner if possible. ( Have already tried Josefina's refuge and the Policia Local)

Hi Alison I can understand your plight We had a neglected dog in the villa next to our place and went to both the local police and Josefina's. All very sympathetic but... the police didn't want to know and although Martin ( Josefina's husband) was in tears when I told him about her nothing was ever done. In the end the people moved away and I presume they took her with
them, but I still get upset thinking she may be living in the same awful conditions somewhere.

Unless she escaped!! What does your stray look like?

Some of the locals seem not to have the same attitude to their dogs as us. A few years ago we were in the market and next to us was a local man with his dog. The poor dog was obviously distressed by the number of people and cowered down trying to move out of the way. This horrid little man kicked the dog very hard. I complained to him but he just waved his arms. It was such a shame as when he went to move on, he accidently tripped over my foot!! - what goes around, comes around!!

Its a female. with light reddy brown fur. floppy ears. black muzzle. really friendly. really well trained. doesnt want to enter the house.obviously used to living outside. Seems incredibly well cared for and we think someone must be really missing this dog.
