Smile Weddings in Puerto Pollensa

Hello everyone, me and my fiancee are looking to have our wedding in puerto pollensa in Summer 2011 but we cannot find anything online for venues for the reception in the area! As we know the area very well, we weren't bothered about using a wedding planner but think we might have to if nobody can suggest somewhere!!! If anyone knows of anywhere that they could recommend then it would be most appreciated!!!!

How exciting! To save on repeating all previous posts, if you just type Weddings in the box after pressing Search in the dark blue bar above, you will bring up plenty of posts which will probably give numerous ideas. Browse through these first and see if any are relevant for you. Good luck!

Whilst there in June/ early July we saw a wedding reception out on the terrace at the Capri and then another on the solarium at the Miramar. Both of these hotels are advertised on this site. (Personally, I would have said the Miramar is nicer but the Capri looks like it has recently been refurbished)

As Bella says - good luck for your happy day!

Hello Debs - C'an Currassa certainly do wedding receptions. Seen numerous ones there in the past - might be a bit on the pricey side though

Lala, The Capri one would have been our neighbours, unfortunately we had left for home by then. Think it was drinks at the Capri than a meal at La Longa, la Longa was about 30/35 Euros a head.

Hi Debs,

If you do as Belladonna suggested and look at previous posts you will see plenty on the subject from me!
We got married in 2007 at the church in the square with Rev.Redfearn (tho we could have had the church in the old town if we wanted) followed by cocktails and tapas at Makkassar in the square (on the upstairs terrace, lovely breeze) with a guitar player that walked the whole party (about 65 people) to the Yacht Club for dinner and dancing.
I did have a wedding planner (cost about 800 euro I think) as it was difficult being in another country, but in reality if you are really organised and your boss is understanding (lots of time spent emailing/phoning mallorca in the run up) you can probably do it yourself. Especially as the Euro isnt so favourable now!
We even hired a Catamaran the following day from Stay for a days trip with drinks/food and stops to snorkell etc (think that may have cost more than the wedding reception but was amazing!) that sailed back into the port as the sun was setting.
If you want any contacts e.g. flowers/cake etc just send me a PM and I can give you costs too if you want to know.

Debs,

My secretary got married in PP some six years ago . Blessing like a full wedding ceremony (technically I think they quietly wed legally in Chelsea Registry Office the week before ). Lovely June afternoon with service at 4 p.m. We then all proceeded to the poolside at the Daina for a few hours of cava and canapes and all the photos ( seaviews/sunset ). The Daina cordoned the whole area off and we had a classical guitarist serenading all the guests. About eight we stumbled along to Cellar Bona ( alas no more ) for the wedding feast which we had taken over for the whole night. Partied on into the small hours there. Great day and good memories.

Must have been a hit with the bridesmaids ( eat yer heart out Jack Nicholson!!! ) cos they still have girly weekends in the port and I take them all out !!!!

If you want the vicar's ( Michael's e mail address just send me a p.m.) , he's well worth chatting to and would give you loads of suggestions, really friendly guy.

Some lovely sounding ideas!
My daughter has been adamant for the past few years that she wants to have her wedding reception at Pollensa Golf club. They have some really wonderful views down across the bay and over the mountains. ONly problem is she's not even courting!

I love having 9 holes with my lad, a dip in the pool and then a leisurely lunch with 'that view' !
mmmnnn...

Absolutely agree about the vicar, he presided over our 25th anniversary when we renewed out vows. He and his wife are a lovely couple and will help out in many ways.

We are going to a wedding in the Autumn and they are holding the reception at the golf club.
Was also invited to one a couple of years ago and reception was in Trio's.
