Default What to do in bad weather

Arriving Monday for a week, the weather forecast looks pretty grim, any suggestions for things to do or places to go when the weather is poor?
Regards
Peter

Try a run to Festival Park, the shopping mall, Santa Maria is near by and you can visit the Macia Batle Vineyards.

I found walking round Old Alcudia and the Roman ruins far more pleasant in cooler weather. The Roman Museum is very good as is the walk through the ruins. Cheap too.

Hire a car and tour the island. Great places to visit include Soller, Valdemosa, Deia, Palma, some of the hill top Monasteries, LLuc and right down the east coast.

La Granja is atypical old manorial Mallorcan farm, free tastings food etc and old house with tours etc. What about the Soller railway, or one of the traditional markets like Sinue or Consell. Trip to Arta and the old mediaeval village of capdepera. Palma itself is fantastic on any day(but everyone goes there on wet days!) It rained really heavily last night but the early evening was warm and bright(contrary to the forecast) Often even in "bad weather" at least part of the day here is bright or sunny , People have been swimming in the sea in March so hope you're lucky

Marineland is through Palma but worth a trip if you have children in your party, usual stuff like penguins and dolphin shows. Soller to Palma on the tram is something we save for dull or wet days. If you have a week of solid rain like we did once with two young boys we brought a DVD player with us and plenty of films and kept the adults alcohol levels topped up enough to take the edge off as the days went on and on...but sober enough to be responsible!

It is well worth while going to Palma by bus if you do not want to drive there. It is a beautiful city even if the weather is not good.

There's plenty to visit in Palma including the Cathedral, Es Baluard art gallery. You could even try the sightseeing bus (& sit downstairs) - we have done it on a rainy day. See Excursions & Water parks in Majorca Mallorca
