Default Road from Lluc to Sa Colobra

I've heard that part of the road between Lluc and the Sa Colobra turn-off has completely collapsed and the repairs will take 4 to 5 months. Does anyone have any information on this?

Yes, the road is closed. We drove along shortly after it happened and the road is closed at Escorca. We parked and walked along to see the landslip which is just before the bridge at the Sa Calobra turn-off.

It will be some months before the road is cleared and re-built.

I can remember this road well. Quite a few years ago we thought we would visit sa calobra.OH hired a car and off we went. I've never been so terrified!!!All I could see were coaches coming up the road and thinking that we were going to go over the edge. When we got to the bottom the cafe was closed so we had to return up the winding road. I wanted to walk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the info Mariquita. That could throw a large hole in ou bird watching activities at Cuber reservoir if we manage to get out to PP this year.

Here's hoping we both lose the possible redundancy clouds hanging over us at the moment! Mind you if we do lose our jobs I suppose one last hurrah in PP with some of the redundancy pay might be on the cards.
