Default pp at new year

hi, we are heading out from freezing scotland on hogmanay to try pp on our first year with the new apartment.Don,t know what to expect, I don,t think it will be the normal Scotttish new year, but that,s the great thing about pp, you never know what,s going to happen. I have tried to e mail a few places just for a meal on the 31st, but most of them seem to be doing set menus including free drink at between 95- 140 euros per head, and with the euro at 1 to 1, I really don,t want to pay £400 for a night out (scottish remember) anyway I am looking forward to the break and will let you know how we get on. Happy new year when it comes. GPM

Happy New Year to you GPM, I can't think of a nicer way to let the new year in - new apartment - new year - new beginnings. Have fun:-)

So how did it all go the GPM?
We're looking to possibly come for next new year (also a Scot!) and any info on how your Hogmanay (and visit in general) went would be good to hear....hope the weather was relatively kind to you...

More importantly though...
A Very Happy New Year!! ...

Default pp at new year

Thanks for asking shotokan, arrived home on friday and spent the weekend in my bed with a chest infection(I blame the smoking in the pubs in PP) my wife says i don,t have to go in, but I feel it is my duty to suffer to check out the establishments.Anyway,I had a great time at new year but the 3 kings were even better and I wish i could have stayed for the fires, maybe next year!!
We are lucky enough to have sky tv in the apartment so after new year in PP we watched the usual programmes from Scotland and brought the new year in again. Most of the usual pubs ect are closed but it gives you a chance to sample the local ones which to be honest I will be sticking to from now on as the prices are getting a bit steep in the British ones. I,for one will be back next new year, its a change from being at home and the depressing times just now.

Sorry you'll be sticking to the Spanish bars George, you will be missed in the "Scotish/British" establishments...
