Default Hibernation!!

C'mon everybody - have you all gone into hibernation? The summer may have passed but I'm sure we can talk about our experiences until spring arrives, when we will be once again talking about booking, car hire etc.

Post your photos - I for one would love to see them.

The PP forum always goes a bit quiet at this time of the year - it livens up after Christmas when people start booking holidays!

There's always the Tapas Bar - we're open all year round for business and I would love to see members posting on there as well. I think the two forums compliment each other really well!

Being a recent visitor to PP compared to many I would love to see your old photos. Just to see what it looked like in the early days. I do hope you manage it.

I still like looking at the Rusiech webcam for LIVE pictures!! Nothing like that first cup of coffee watching the sun pop up in puerto pollensa, Oh it still looks warm and lovely, even early in the morning compared to defrosting the car in a very cold -3 not so sunny Devon!!

I agree with you - the Rusiech webcam is an excellent way to find out what the weather is like in PP, the sky is ever-changing. I have both webcams saved to my favourites and look at them both everyday, PP doesn't seem so far away then.

Just checked the webcam - what a lovely day - the sky is cloudless - wish I was there:-)

Wow Whaley, you're right about today looking good, not a cloud in the sky...........now i just need some cheap flights and a cosy appartment with a log fire, a good book, good bottle of red wine and i'll seriously consider ditching the family for Christmas!!

Yes it has been a beautiful day here today, 17degrees.
Tomorrow is not looking good though, they are forecasting thunderstorms.

Well yet another miserable day as Sparky forecast! Let's hope it does improve next week - it's been a cold, wet winter so far!

Thumbs up

I've just spent the last hour trying to post some pics of PP from this summer on the Photos Forum. What a nightmare! I did finally do it but there must be an easier way. Have a look at them if you like. Pretty average pics but they make me yearn for the hot summer days of PP in August. Boy was it hot this year. I loved it.

Liz D's mention of a lovely apartment, sitting on the balcony reading a book, drinking red wine etc... (I'd change that to San Miguel or a drop of the hard stuff), just brought it all back to me. Scraping the ice off the car windscreen, turning the gas fire up and having the central heating on and wearing my fleece indoors...it's just not the same, is it?
I don't care what the weather is like in PP, it's got to be better than here.
We've booked next July for PP, instead of our usual August, as my wife has now retired from teaching and we can go anytime, not just school hols. I read somewhere on here about a festival in July in PP. Anyone know the dates?

I really envy you lucky people who live in PP. Did you make the right decision to move there?

Merry Christmas to one and all. Only 10 days to go! Roll on next summer.
