Default Excitement on the Formentor road

Anyone know what was going on late last night and all this morning at the Boquer Valley car park on the new road opposite Bellresguard? Swarms of police last night and a Guardia Civil helicopter there all morning.

They are out looking for an elderly man with Altzheimers who left his house yesterday at 3pm and hasn't been seen since.

oh dear. I do hope he's found. There's not so much activity there now, so perhaps that's a good sign

We too were woken up by the helicpter hovering very low over the Boquer valley. So low we could see someone on board hanging out obviously searching for someone.

Have just read in the Mallorca Bulletin that a 90 year old man went missing Wednesday afternoon. They found him at lunchtime yesterday...seriously dehydrated but still alive. Unfortunately he didnīt make it and died shortly after they got him to the medical centre.

Poor old boy...very sad.

Thats really sad news Deb! Especially when you are actually there. Now look for something else to balance the bad news - it WILL be there!!
