Default Evening stalls/entertainers

Were have the stalls , artists, sandcastle makers gone to? I did hear that the council wanted everyone to have a licence and the cost was too much.Is this true? I think most visitors enjoyed the stroll along the front after their meal and there was never any problems> now there is something missing.

Hi,

I heard that some of the evening stalls along the front used small generators for their electricity and the fumes upset some of the restaurant's and quests sitting outside eating their meals ? I really don't know if this is true, it's just something that was said to me .

However, the local Police do seem to be strict with anyone who sets up a stall etc along the front and I have seen on several occasions, them remove some of the African women's hair-braiding advertisement boards and move them on.

I think if you want to operate on the front or anywhere else in the town, you must have some kind of license.

Hi all - I must say that I for one will not miss the smell of petrol and the buzzing of the generators! Maybe I'm just a bit old and grumpy though!!

I must walk round with my eyes shut as have never seen any generators but do think it was shame this year that there was no stalls/entertainment on the front
