Exclamation Muchas Mosquitos!!!!

The little blighters are out in force this year folks! Because May was so wet, the mozzies are on the large size and boy are they hungry!

We saw nothing much for the first few days but then one humid night sitting outside at the villa they descended upon us like WWII parachutists, landing on any exposed body parts!! A quick dive in to top up the Autan spray and fix the mozzie bands to all available appendages and we were left in relative peace. Paranoia drove us back inside however and we tried to watch the tennis for the rest of the night in between suspiciously checking out every fruit fly and bit of fluff! Next day off to buy armloads of citronella candles and an extra mozzie plug. No more probs.

Second week off to the Port only to receive regular bites in restaurants despite sprays etc. For some reason this year I was tastier than other half who is usually a "bug-magnet" but because I take Zirtek and a nasal anti-histamine spray for hay-fever, my bites never come to much. Some of the other campers were less fortunate - think the Pharmacist had a special on Calamine Lotion.

Tool up chaps - fight them on the beaches - the restaurants, the square...
