Default The weather that beats me.

Everyday I open my bar up and put the tables out. Shall I shall I not put the awning down. If I put it down the sun comes up and no wind. If I leave it up hehe you can bet all of a sudden the wind will kick up and blow everything around. Cant wait for the summer. Next winter I am not going to open am going to carry on plumbing...its easier. hehe

Default the pleasures of owning a restaurant

A friend of mine who used to own a restaurant in Glasgow city centre. Quite unusually at that time, it had a large outside seating area, which was only used (obviously) when the weather was good enough.

He told me that from about April to October his first priority each morning was to check the weather forcast, and if good to call in an extra chef, and a number of waiting staff; and then to contact the markets and order extra produce, etc.

His next priority was to pray that the weather forcast was right!
